Minutes

The workshop was convened by Chair Dale Greiner at 8:00 a.m. A quorum was achieved with nine voting members present: Ron Bailey, Brent Caldwell, Bob Cochell, Philip Fairey, Jan Geyselaers, Dale Greiner, Larry Maxwell, Rafael Palacios and Roger Sanders. Staff support was provided by Mo Madani, Ann Stanton, Marlita Peters and Joe Bigelow. The meeting was facilitated by Jeff Blair.

Meeting Objectives:

1. Review/approve agenda and minutes of previous meeting.

2. Review code change mods that were proposed during the current triennial code change cycle on the Florida-specific changes to the baseline code, the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code, and recommend actions as to their disposition to the Florida Building Commission.

Actions Taken:

The agenda and minutes of the August 6, 2012 meeting were unanimously approved.

Jeff Blair went over the Commission’s rules for reviewing and criteria for actions taken on said mods with the group. A standing motion was moved, seconded and adopted unanimously by the TAC. The TAC then reviewed 101 proposed code change modifications, discussed them and took action as to their disposition: 47 were Approved as Submitted

10 were Approved as Modified

26 had No Affirmative Recommendation (with Second)

16 had No Affirmative Recommendation (no Second)

2 were Withdrawn by proponent

The meeting was adjourned by Chair Greiner at 4:45 p.m.
