Respectfully requesting a waiver from the requirement for an accessible elevator in conjunction with the Change of Use from Residential Apartments to Transient Hotel for the upper two stories of the building. Existing elevator cab is approximately 42" x 54" inside.

The installation of a new accessible elevator will not only be an expensive capital improvement, the footprint of a new accessible elevator shaft will require a change to the layout of the hallways, lobby, and adjacent units that substantially increases the typical cost of an elevator.
