Code related content, subject to the out of date
code references (on slides 31, 32, and 36) being changed to the current code
reference number, and quiz questions and answers being added for review. Motion: Kevin Flanagan Second: Darrell Phillips Discussion:
The Education Administrator stated that on
slide numbers 31, 32, and 36, Rule 9B-72 was listed as the code reference for
the material. This reference should be changed to the current Rule number,
61G20-3. Also, it was referenced in the course syllabus that quiz questions
would need to be answered after each section of the material. Upon checking,
neither quiz questions nor answers were found. Approved Unanimously Course: Advanced FBC

Inc. Accreditor: Charles Barr BCIS Course Number: 759.0 Motion: Course conditionally approved
based on the FBC accreditation process that only verifies the accuracy of the

Commissioner Flanagan asked
why there were so many deleted lines on the course slides. The Education
Administrator stated that some providers present their material showing the

Education Administrator activity
report Discussion: The
Education Administrator stated that the report contained the normal
activities of the Administrator, including staffing the ED POC meetings and
handling inquiries from a variety of sources concerning the FBC Education
Program. He also stated that “Training Funding” information was also included
in the report, which was promoted by Building A Safer Florida (BASF), and
which included the who/what of eligibility requirements. He stated that if
anyone was interested, or had questions, to contact Cam Fentriss by the email
address listed with the information. Jim Richmond asked why the Department
of Agriculture had contacted the BCIS website. Cam Fentriss stated that they
were interested in advanced courses. FBC
Education Administrator Activity Report November
24, 2015 A. Provided administrative support for FBC Education POC
for the October 5th, 2015 meeting B. Drafted minutes for FBC Education POC October 5, 2015
meeting C. Prepared agenda for FBC Education
POC meeting on December 3rd, 2015 D. Worked with training providers and
accreditors to ensure compliance with Rule 61G20-6.002 E. Checked the BCIS to ensure
information is current regarding the FBC Education and Accreditation Program F. Inquiries
addressed from September 25, 2015 to November 24, 2015 were as follows: 11 Accreditor 7 BCIS issues Training Funding Available for 2015-2016 Two types
of funding: 7-hour program or “minimum 1 hour” program Reimbursement
amount: $23.00 per hour per attendee Available now, ends June 15, 2016 Eligible
attendees: -- Licensed
architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, construction
contractors, electrical contractors, or building code administrators or
inspectors -- Home
inspectors, mold remediators -- Must include license number for
all categories above --
