Mignardi (provider) stated that she submitted this course as self affirmed
because the content had not changed and that the boards would want a more
recent date of an advanced course approval by the FBC. Commissioner Flanagan
asked if the course would have to go through the accreditation process with the
upcoming code change. Sharon Mignardi stated that yes, the course would need
to be reviewed again. Approved Unanimously |

Update status of the proposed language changes to Rule 61G20-6.002,
F.A.C April Hammonds (General Counsel) stated
that OFAR (Office of Fiscal Accountability Rule Reform) recently requested
more information regarding the proposed changes to the 61G20-6.002, F.A.C.,
rule language. She said the questions seem to be technical in nature,
concerned with things like the form number and effective date. She further
stated that she sent OFAR screen shots of the form, and they responded with
more questions. She stated that she is trying to resolve this as soon as
possible and that again, OFAR is not asking about actual language changes,
but rather only possible technical or administrative changes. She then asked
if the POC would agree to the technical changes (and only technical changes) that
she described, in the form of a motion. The Chair asked if the POC would be able
to see the content of any technical changes at the next ED POC meeting. April
stated that they would see those changes. The POC members agreed to make a
motion regarding April’s request. The specific motion language is listed
below. Med Kopczynski (provider) stated that he
had recently read the proposed language changes to Rule 61G20-6.002, F.A.C.,
and that he thought the changes brought more flexibility to providers
regarding course submission and reviews. However, he said that not all
courses would be reviewed using the building code, but rather some courses
would be concerned with laws and rules. He further said that he saw no
provision in the proposed language to address these types of course submissions
and reviews. Cam Fentriss asked Med to look at Section (g), items (1) through
(4). She stated that those provisions were recently created to address that
issue. Med stated that he wanted to talk more with Cam about this after the
meeting and that he would send her the highlighted language in question.
April Hammonds asked if Med would copy her with the email he sends to Cam.

quiet. She stated that other than the usual activities, there were four
