TAC Objectives

TAC Members Present: Chairman; James Schock, CW Macomber, Steve Strawn, Craig Parrino, Joe Hetzel, Daniel Lavrich, Do Kim, Jaime Gascon, Warner Chang, David Compton, Cris Fardelman

TAC Members Absent: None

Alternate: None

Staff Present: Mo Madani, Jim Richmond, April Hammonds, Marlita Peters, Joe Bigelow, Jim Hammers.

Ø Objective - The purpose of these meetings is to accept public input and to provide recommendations on the proposed code changes for the update to 2017 5^th Edition of the Florida Building Code.

Meeting Agenda
Objective	Review of objectives will include the following: Description of issue, discussion by TAC, public comment, TAC action.
1)	Welcome and Opening Remarks. Meeting began at 8:01am with opening remarks by facilitator, Jeff Blair regarding the code review processes to be followed.
2)	Roll Call – Roll call was taken a full quorum was present.
3)	Review and Approval of Meeting Agenda and Minutes of previous meeting: Motion to accept the Agenda by Dan Lavrich with a second made by Steve Strawn. Unanimous vote to accept the agenda as presented. Motion to accept Minutes by Steve Strawn from the meeting held January 27, 2016 with a second by Dan Lavrich. Unanimous vote to accept the Minutes as presented.
4)	Accept public input and provide recommendations on the proposed code changes for the update to the 2017 5^th Edition of the Florida Building Code. The standing motion to accept all modifications as submitted was made by Steve Strawn seconded by CW Macomber. The Structural TAC reviewed 162 proposed code modifications. The TAC made the following recommendations: One hundred twenty-three (123) were Approved as Submitted, ten (10) were Approved as Modified, twenty-seven (27) received No Affirmative Recommendation With a Second, two (2) were Withdrawn.
5)	Other Commission business – There was no other business on behalf of the TAC or the Commission.
6)	Public Comment – none made.
7)	Member Comment – TAC members expressed their appreciation for the hard work of staff in preparation for the meeting.
8)	Schedule next meeting – No meeting was scheduled at this time.
9)	Adjournment. – 2:05pm
