Description:
This is a two-story law enforcement training facility co-located on the same site as the Sheriff's Shooting Range. The first floor will have public gun safety training rooms and storage area. The second floor will consist of offices and training room for sworn law enforcement officers only to be accessed by way of a secure key card entrance.

As a sworn law enforcement officers, Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) are required pursuant to Florida Statutes ยง943.13 to pass a physical examination based on standards established by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC). The CJSTC established Florida Administrative Rule l I B-27.002, which created a uniform assessment form to be utilized by all physicians conducting a physical examination for law enforcement sworn personnel applicants. The uniform assessment form stipulates that the physician will utilize the law enforcement agency's job description to determine an applicant's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. See attached letter.
