Description:
Private 3D Archery Range open seasonally from Sept to March, Range consist of 5 elevated platforms. The largest of the 5 platforms has a stabilized asphalt ground level shooting area. This area is considered for young archers and handicapped patrons. This area will allow all shooters to participate safely.

I was referred by the building official because of the upper platforms not being accessable. Do to the nature of the activity and the extensive design and construction to comply we respectfully request a waiver. We intend on providing the same opportunity to disabled persons and youths as well. Due to our compassionate attempt to provide for the disabled we request your consideration.

The elevated platforms are 10' and 20' high. This would require a extremely long ramp at a 1/12. The ramp would also impede the entire ground level shooting area. The ground level is intended for youth and disabled archers.

NOTE:**




This is a fairly unique situation (archery range) and nearly impossible to accommodate due to the nature of the active and safety of other participants. We have researched nationwide to find a similar situation and have not had success. Furthermore there is a couple of ranges here locally that do not provide for the handicap like Gobblers Lodge intends to. In summary the archers of all abilities will have the opportunity to shoot at the same targets at various distances.
