2013 Update to the Florida Building Code:

Consideration of the Code Change Proposals [Second 45 – day review period]

This is to let you know that the actions and outcomes from the October 2012 Commission’s Technical Advisory Committee (TACs) meeting on the proposed code changes to the 2013 update to the Florida Building Code have been available for review and comment since October 31, 2012.  The review period (2nd 45 – day comment period) will end by midnight, December 14, 2012.

In summary:    86 % of the mods approved were consistent with the exceptions contained in legislation and the accommodation of Florida specific needs with respect to retaining the current Florida Building Code standards for wind resistance and prevention of water intrusion.
