This course will address the significant changes in the wind load provisions of the 2010 Edition of ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures. The wind load provisions have undergone a substantial reorganization to improve the clarity of applicability for the various design methods and procedures. The wind maps have been updated to reflect ultimate wind speeds and availability of new data. A simplified procedure has been added for buildings up to 160 feet high. |
