Welcome and Opening |

Agenda Review and Approval. Bemmie Eustace made a motion
to approve the Agenda and Frederick Schilling made a second with unanimous approval
by the TAC.

Approved
minutes from April 9, 2014 meeting. Brad Schiffer made a motion to approve minutes and Frederick
Schilling made a second with unanimous approval
by the TAC.

D.) |
Accepted final report on the
research project entitled: Review and determine the technical basis for the
Florida Specific requirements for accessibility. The report was presented by
David Prevatt, Janet Fay and Jim terry. The TAC Members discussed and made
recommendations on issues they felt need to be included in the research.
Bemmie suggested that all motel rooms that are Florida ambulatory ADA rooms
have the Mobility features added for bathroom turning space and bed heights.
Beth Meyer suggested naming hotel room either Florida Room or Ambulatory
Accessible Room and review scoping. Bemmie Eustace commented on the
suggestion of changing the Van ADA Parking and not changing sizes. Beth Myer
suggested that Door Hinges should be maintained under the Florida Fire
Prevention Code. Bemmie
Eustace made a motion
to accept the final report and Beth Meyer made a second with unanimous approval
by the TAC.

Discuss and recommend potential
research topics for consideration by the Commission. Bemmie Eustace recommended focusing on the scoping of the
Florida Specific Items as opposed to the technical requirements, to focus on
Chapter 2 “When do you need it” as opposed to “How to apply it “ in Chapters
3-10 of the FAC.
