We have been advised by The Marion County Building Department that a waiver from the Commission will be required if wheel chair access to the 2nd floor is not provided. Marion County Building Department issued our permit with a CO hold subject to us applying for a waiver of accessibility to the 2nd floor of this project.(See additional upload)

Description:
We request a waiver for wheel chair accessibility to the 2nd. floor. The second floor consists of additional bedrooms and bathrooms only. Although the rooms on the 2nd floor are not equipped for wheel chair access, we have provided sight and sound fire alarm systems in an effort to accommodate other handicapped persons. We have added 3 ADA fully functional bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor to accommodate wheel chair accessibility, sight and sound systems.

Please see all uploaded documentation, the owner has already spent more than 50% the cost of construction to meet accessibility codes. Further expenditures would be detrimental to the whole project. We more than meet the number of ADA rooms and bathrooms as required.
