Call to Order –

The
Electrical TAC began the two part review process of the 2008 NEC per Commission
action in October. The TAC discussed the 2008 NEC and will continue discussions
in February toward recommendations to the Commission in February. During the
December meeting the TAC heard from the public, viewed a presentation and
discussed the 2008 NEC . Staff was asked to send the work plan to all
jurisdictions prior to the next meeting. There public was encouraged to send
concerns to staff for inclusion for discussion at the second review in February.
The following is the Commission action and work plan.
“The Commission voted unanimously, 21
– 0 in favor, to defer action on deciding whether to consider adoption of the
2008 NEC as a Glitch Amendment, and to set a schedule for rulemaking to
implement the Commission’s actions relative to adopting the 2008 NEC, by July
1, 2009. The NEC will be reviewed by the Electrical TAC and recommendations
provided to the Commission.”
