The committee held a workshop on the code provisions for Exposure C to provide for clarification and guidance on its application. The committee reviewed a voluntary committee report submitted by Jim Schock which included a number of questions and answers on the subject.

Mr. Ernest W. Kiesling made a presentation on the forthcoming international Code Council/National Storm Shelter Association Standard for Design and Construction of Storm Shelters.

The committee discussed research needs and requested that technical research be conducted on (1) wind effect-soffit failure, (2) roof versus balconies to further clarify the code provisions.
