Meeting Objective:

To discuss new NFPA Standard

To discuss inspection and remediation of aluminum branch wiring in older homes

a. Reviewed and approved the Agenda

b. Reviewed and approved the November’s Minutes

2. The TAC discussed the new NFPA Standard - NFPA-73, Standard for Electrical Inspections for Existing Dwellings: 2011 edition and provided an advisory regarding

the effective remediation methods of aluminum branch wiring in older homes as follows:

Any recognized alternative for the installation and repair of aluminum wire must comply with the current Florida Building Code adopted edition of NFPA 70.
