Education Administrator Activity Report
March 3, 2008 – April 21, 2008)

The following information represents the activities that the Education Administrator performed between March 3, 2008, and April 21, 2008 (34 work days).

Phone Calls
Approximately 30 phone calls were taken and/or responded to between 3/03/08 and 4/21/08. They lasted in length from 1-2 minutes to 30 minutes. Approximately two thirds of the calls were logged, with approximately one – third being handled away from the office. The major areas of inquiry for the calls are listed below with approximate percentages representing how many of a particular call were handled.

• Where to find advanced courses (20%)
• Where to find the 4 hour core course (50%)
• How to buy advanced and/or core course (10%)
• What courses do I need to fulfill my licensure requirements (10 %)
• Where to find online courses (15%)

Emails
Approximately 70 emails were responded to between 3/03/08 and4/21/08. The same kinds of areas were covered with emails as the above phone calls reflect. At least 50 % of the emails were asking “where to find the 4 hour core course”.

Miscellaneous

• Developed May 2008 POC agenda
• Developed course audit form
• Worked on draft of training course and downloadable Toolkit/Manual for training providers regarding course development guidelines. Also scheduling a couple of actual training sessions.
• Created spreadsheet for all advanced courses in BCIS
• Researching ways to influence training providers to develop more advanced training courses
