(2) Declaratory Statement Request DCA07-DEC-067

Reviewed and provided recommendation on the following request for Declaratory Statement:

DCA07-DEC-047 by John Leedy, PE, Leedy Electric Corp.

Question One - Does the language in the Florida Statutes trump (override) language in the Florida Building Code.?

Answer - Yes.

Question Two - Does the above mentioned project require a Engineer to prepare the plans?

Answer Option One - Yes, the project exceeds $50,000.00.

(3) Incorporation of Florida specific requirements into the 2007 Florida Building Code.

The Committee reviewed the incorporations of the Florida specific requirements into the 2006 I Codes base documents for specific chapters in the Building Volume, Existing Building Volume, and Residential Volume of the Florida Building Code and provided staff with comments for consideration. Staff will analysis the comments and provide the TAC members and the Commentors feedback on whether the comment can be incorporated into the proposed 2007 draft or that such comment is a code change that needs to be addressed by the Commission.
