Request: The Petitioner requests clarification necessary to confirm that the commercial wireless communication towers and antenna attachments are deemed to be Class II with an importance factor of 1.00 for wind load design in accordance with ANSI/TIA/EIA – 222 – G.

- Committee Action: Importance factor of 1.15 is required in light of conflicting provisions of ANSI/TIA/EIA 222 G-05 and ASCE 7-02 (As referenced in section 1609.1.1 Exception #7). ASCE 7-02 provides the most restrictive language.
