Meeting Objectives

 

ü To review and provide recommendation to Commission regarding proposed code changes to the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code (FBC) – Existing Building as proposed by the Existing Building Inspection Workgroup (EBIWG) pursuant to Section 553.73(8), Florida Statutes for the purpose of establishing minimum requirements for the mandatory milestone inspections within the FBC as directed by SB 154.

 

ü To review and provide recommendation to the Commission regarding proposed code changes to the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code – Building as proposed by staff pursuant to Section 553.73(8), Florida Statutes and necessary for consistency with HB 267, HB535, SB 1526 and HB 1021.
