Mike McCombs called the meeting to order at 10:10AM. The agenda was approved as submitted.
Generator discussion : Presentation by Robert Glidewell and Rob Smythe representing Personalized Power System addressed their letter of concerns to Governor Bush on consistency of interpretation of the Generators and Code, relevant to Chapter 27 Electrical, and requirements of NFPA 70, 70A. Following Mr. Glidewell's presentation, Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County presented their views on the subject. TAC member Tarry Baker presented an power point presentation on “Optional Standby Power Sources and Requirements”. Following the power point, public comments were received addressing Generator Code issues to each of the speakers. Mr. Glidewell intends to submit a DEC statement for the August meeting in Miami . This will be an agenda item for the TAC to discuss and make recommendation to the Commission for the first hearing. It should be noted that no action was required for “Generator” issue.
Miscellaneous Issues : Discussion of August meeting's agenda items. HB7121 as a potential joint TAC meeting with Special Occupancy and the Fire TAC. Also to take up DEC statements if presented through the BCIS system.
