•  Attendance.

Structural TAC:……………………………………………… Do Kim, Chairman

Craig Parrino, George Wiggins, Rusty Carroll, Jack Glenn, and Jaime Gascon.

Minutes were approved to correct Jaime Gascon's last name.

•  Discussed and provided recommendation on the following request for Declaratory Statement:

DCA06-DEC-160 by Kirk Grundahl, PE, WTCA

•  Considered a request from Donald Chalaire of Chalaire and Associates, Inc., regarding a potential safety hazard from vertical loads added by hurricane screens attached to concrete balconies. This request was deferred from the Product Approval POC.

•  Committee Action:

The committee took the following action:

•  The committee recommended that the POC contact the holder of the product approval application and request that they revise their application to address, within limitation of use, that the installation of their product be accompanied by site specific engineering assessments of their reaction loads of specific structure.

•  As part of the outreach and through the Commission newsletter, and through the Building Official web site, provide information to substantiate recommendation stated in item #1 above.
