COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will provide contractors, building code
administrators and inspectors with one hour of Advanced Building Code training,
focusing on backflow prevention and cross-connection control. A Power Point
online presentation will be used to discuss the potable water supply and
the importance of protecting it. The presentation will define cross connections,
teach what causes crossconnections and how to prevent them. The course
will define and teach how to prevent backflows. The presentation will describe
in detail what is involved in backflow prevention and the different types
of backflow preventers. The power point presentation will include photos
of a backflow preventer being installed. The course will describe what
is involved in testing backflow preventers, and repairing backflow preventers.
The power point presentation will show photos of a backflow preventer being
taken apart, and cleaned. |
