Replacing pump, filter, chlorinator, light, etc. with exact
replacement no permit required
Level 1
Alteration: Restorative
repairs
1. Dewatering operations.
2. Patching or cosmetic restoration
of all non structural pool, spa and/or deck surfaces.
3. Replacement of same sized
equipment that will not affect the original engineered pool or spa hydraulics.
Level 2
Alteration: No
changes and/or alterations to pool shell (Barrier
Requirements to be met for all Level 2 Alterations)
1.
Resizing
of equipment such as pump upgrades (requires hydraulic justification from a
design professional)
2.
Solar
heaters or solar equipment.
3.
The
reconfiguration of any existing system (Does not include pool or spa
reconfigurations)
Level 3
Alteration: Structural changes and/or alterations to
the pool shell (Requirements of ANSI 7
to be met for all Level 3 Alterations)
1.
Reconfiguration
or pool or spa.
2.
Any
structural repair to pool or spa shell.
3.
Any
penetrations through structural shell (Example; addition anti-entrapment
device)
4.
Spa
additions.
