Review/discuss the boilerplate language developed by the FBC general counsel
regarding the intellectual property rights of course materials placed on the
BCIS.
The Chair
read the language into the record and asked Larry Schneider what he thought
about the content, since it was meant to protect training providers---and Larry
is a training provider.
Larry stated
that he did evaluate the language and thought that it was fine---and would
serve its intended purpose.
The chair
asked if the Education POC needed to take further action.
Cam Fentriss
stated that the POC did not need to take any further action. She also said that
she included the language in the Educational Administrator’s report. She
further recommended that all training providers should place similar language
directly on their actual training materials for copyright protection.
No further
action was required.
