Committee members were present.

The Workgroup voted
unanimously, 6 - 0 in favor, to approve the October 13, 2008 Facilitator’s
Summary Report as presented.
Presentation by ARA on Load Side—Wind Pressure Research
Larry Vickers, ARA, presented a PowerPoint presentation on load side
wind pressure research and answered member’s questions. A overview of the
presentation is included as Attachment 2 of this Report.

Wind-Borne Debris
(WBD)/Terrain Modeling
Larry Twisdale and Peter Vickery, ARA, presented a PowerPoint presentation on wind-borne
debris terrain modeling and answered member’s questions. The research was
funded by FBC and is a follow-up to WBD research studies. A overview of the
presentation is included as Attachment 5 of this Report.

Discussion on Additional Research Supporting Hurricane Resistant
Construction Standards Development
DCA has funding to continue UF contract to
continue research projects: shutters impacta, mulled windows, roofing.

require “elastomeric paints” on stucco renderings. |
