This course introduces Fl. Contractors to Wind Mitigation Methodologies Retrofitting Techniques required by FS 553.844. By completing the course the Contractor will be familiar with prescriptive techniques for improvement of roof-to-wall connections, adding or strengthening opening protection, component and cladding load calculations, testing standards, and approved products for opening protection as outlined by 2007 Florida Building Code (including 2009 supplements). |
