Minutes
Members Present:

Peter Schwab, Hamid Bahadori, Jeff Gross, Brad Schiffer, James Goodloe, Dale Greiner,
Jim Schock, and Joe Holland.
Note: The Fire Advisory Council was present and a joint membership took place to address proposed correlation issues and changes to both the 2007 FBC and FFPC.
Action Taken:
The agenda was approved as presented. The joint (Fire TAC and Fire Code Advisory Council) members discussed the proposed changes submitted by Staff, Dale Greiner, and Brad Schiffer. The Joint Committee discussed changes necessary to proposed correlate both in codes (see attached changes).
Items that required language changes:
1. FBC Section 3310 Exits, 3310.1. Stairways required, third line strike (and enclosed) and the last line to read During construction, the stairway shall be enclosed where the building exterior walls are in place.
2. Table A.7.6. Common Path, Dead-End, and Travel Distance Limits (by occupancy). Assembly Travel Distance Limits for Unsprinkled New and Existing 150 ? 200 ft to be verified. Board and Care Small, New Large, and New Existing 125 ? 75 ft to be verified.
3. The Committee discussed the status of Chapter 43, NFPA 101 and decided to further review both the FBC, Existing Code and Chapter 43 for possible correlation of conflicts should exist.
