Program Overview
The Building Energy Efficiency Rating System program establishes
and updates a rating system that allows Florida homebuyers to compare
energy efficiency of homes on the market and to assess the energy
efficiency of commercial use buildings. The training and administrative
oversight of this program is privatized through these efforts. The
goals of the Building Energy Efficiency Rating System program are
to respond to requests for clarification on the Building Energy
Efficiency Rating System, continue to maintain the Building Energy
Efficiency Rating System training and certification program, update
the system for maintaining consistency with the National Home Energy
Rating System and the Florida Building Code and privatize the administrative
function of the Building Energy Efficiency Rating System. You may
