Grounds for waiver.

10. Grounds for Waiver: The Florida Building Commission may grant waivers of Florida-specific accessibility requirements upon a determination of unnecessary, unreasonable or extreme hardship. Please describe how this project meets the following hardship criteria. Explain all that would apply for consideration of granting the waiver.

NOTE:**

Need Additional Space

They modifications that is required to make the two access stair cases to the upper level wheel chair accessible, is substantially disproportionate to the cost of the overall project. In order to install a lift we are required to extend the stair landing beyond the entrance door. this will require us to alter the buildings exterior. The reason for extending the landing is because there isn't enough room for the wheel chair to turn around and for the person to get onto the lift. Also what is required is all door ways must be widen and a ramp to be built because there is a small elevation to the entrance door. Please keep in mind that this building was built in the early 1900's and did not have to meet the regulations that are imposed today.
